I actually started working when I was about 17 years old. Growing up in a post-revolution Romania, together with 4 yonger sisters, my family was struggling so I started selling cosmetics products to make some extra money. I enjoyed that and I worked continuously throughtout universitity years. I worked in Marketing and Sales, mostly for IT companies.
When I moved to London and I started studying there, I worked for Microsoft as well, for their X-Box division - a really awesome experience! After that I moved into consulting, working for an Accenture-Microsoft owned company Avanade. I used to travel a lot with my work, in Europe as well as US, Australia and Singapore. Living the high-life! I got to meet so many wonderful people and I made an extensive network in the business world. I really enjoyed all of it!
In 2011 I even met my husband via the company we were both working for and a few years later we moved to the Netherlads. So, you can find love at work!

After I gave birth to Joshua I took a big role for an american company (based in Amsterdam) managing a big team and traveling abroad a lot. It was quite intens and stresful and I was fully immersed in it. When my father died unexpectedly, I did my best to continue but I ended up in a burnout. I needed to slow down. (I will share this experience in my next blog.) When I got better I decided to start my own business but it all coincided with the time of corona so soon I was at home with two young childrenn - Lilia was just a few months old. I took time during the Corona lockdowns to re-think my health and I focused on my nutrition and sport. During this time I fell in love with Pilates. And, the rest is history.....After 20 years in the corporate world, I can truly say that I never felt such satisfaction than when I see you ladies getting healthy and stronger every day - it is really a privilege! I hope you enjoyed this story and I look forward to sharing more next time.
For a short period, I recorded a Podcast dedicated for Women in Sales and Leadership roles - if you'd like to listen, here it is:
